A tiny detail in the whole painting, it seems to be the infant 'son of perdition' , the 'man of fierce countenance', to whom the prophet referred.(The 'son of perdition', the 'man of lawlessness', the 'man of sin' referred to in the bible is popularly referred to as 'the Antichrist' in modern times.)
'Gathering clouds and raging storms' is a quote from Barack Obama's inauguration day speech.
Here , the then President Elect gives the preinauguration speech, everyone must 'come together and perfect a union'; no thanks; he praises a monument for its 'glorious representations': no, it's not glorious, it's a Masonic obelisk; (this is widely accepted I believe, just as at is widely accepted that Rome is littered with fascist signs and symbols. There are some suggestions that there is evidence throughout Washington of various types of ungodly symbolism, most of it pertaining to Freemasonry. Certainly, the Western Justice system is filled with Masonic architecture and artifacts). He praises the monument again. 'No obstacle can stand in the way of millions of voices calling for change', he says.
As a result of this slip he had to go through the process again, and did so without a bible. Taking oaths is counselled against in the new Testament scriptures, by Jesus, who commands 'do not swear' 'at all'.
'Mathew 33: "Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not break your oath, but keep the oaths you have made to the Lord.' 34 But I tell you, Do not swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne; 35 or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. 36 And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. 37 Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.'
The fact that Obama might have his own motives for not wanting a bible around the second time he took the oath, and that he slipped and blundered entirely when asked to swear on the bible in the first instance, is quite interesting. Here, the Times reports on the matter, increasing its sales with Christian communities and others participating in the widespread interest.
The new President Barack Obama been practicing the speech we were subjected to on inauguration day for two months. It was not so much the raving dictator we saw announcing the New World Order in Berlin and during his speech on being elected ( and in many other places) it was more self satisfied, and hence, calmer. There was still a great deal of loud, aggressive condescending rhetoric.
It is extraordinary that after so many years of history people are prepared to buy into loud aggressive rhetoric of his kind.
He makes false promises. He pretends to defend the suffering. 'Political arguments no longer apply', he later states. Will he soon be saying 'arguments no longer apply'... ?
He later attempts to pass it off that he's quoting the bible, the Apostle Paul, and he distorts the bible again. He says 'And in the words of scripture the time has come to put away childish things and.'...... he goes on with his political speech.....: 'the time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness. '
'The earth has shifted beneath us' the President declares. Speak for yourself, we respond. :-) You know the relevant parable of Jesus; it's not complicated. Build your House (your life) upon the 'rock of ages', which is Christ Jesus, and you will live and prosper and have eternal life. The storm won't harm you. Build it on the shifting sands, (meaning , build a life without Christ) and when the storm comes, you will be destroyed.
It is not complicated, and it is fair. Here, a kiddie cartoon, the parable of the house built on the rock. It's simple.
Many bible prophecies about the end times are very deep, they look to many events, and current affairs are complex. You do not have to know and understand all about the end times and what will happen in them to be saved, blessed and protected by God, not at all.
Simply, many people are interested in bible prophecy and current affairs.
This article points out that the nature of 'cult worship' of Obama appears to have long been at the 'aggressive histrionics' stage and that there is a big media move to push this further using vacuous celebrities.
'A mind-numbingly cringeworthy and deeply disturbing MySpace video release shows vacuous celebrities pledging their “service” to the incoming Obama government in the form of activities such as .......Several respondents to the video noted that the sentiments expressed were at best misguided and at worst “creepy,” “sick” and “cult-like”. During the speech he reveals his tendency to begin fairly calmly and then work himself up to a shouting, vehement state, which people have noticed is evocative of Adolf Hitler. We also saw that while he's reiterating many of the ideals andpropaganda of Adolf Hitler, and the 'dictator spirit' is evidently present in his discourses, he is more 'smooth' throughout his speeches. He suggests that globalisation involving world politics is 'the only way to advance common security and protect common humanity,' an obvious antichrist outburst.

The nation of Israel, according to scripture, was originally intended by God to be a light to the world around it. The perfect laws of God were given; and the people of Israel, the Israelites, were told; keep these laws, and you'll be blessed, live and prosper; disobey and neglect them, and curses and misery will follow your life. ( See the book of Deuteronomy.) The Israelites achieved wonderful victories when they walked in obedience to the Lord, when they heeded the prophets, and lived rich and extraordinary lives. However, many generations rebelled . The scriptures demonstrate that many Israelite generations needed the Lord to rescue them from their disasters.
The biblical Old Testament law couldn't save anyone from their sins and the consequence of sin. The consequence of sin was defined in the garden of Eden. Everyone sins and falls short of the glory of God. Sinful people certainly can't redeem themselves. Or each other. A sinner can't die for another sinner and redeem them.
The scriptures demonstrate that the Israelites were often worse than hopeless at saving themselves from any and every situation. No one can save themselves from sin and death.
The sinless and innocent Lord Jesus the Messiah came to earth and took the penalty for sin ( always God's plan) that people might on repentance and putting their faith in him, have eternal life. A life in Christ means salvation; and if Christians are to experience full blessing in their life in Christ, they need to be doing their best to obey Jesus' commandments and walk in the Spirit.
According to Deuteronomy, nations and leaders who do not respect the laws of God are subject to the following, among other consequences:
The stranger that is within you shall get up above you very high; and you shall come down very low.
The man from a strange land who is living among you will be lifted up higher and higher over you, while you go down lower and lower.
'The Obama administration announced salary freezes for White House employees making over $100,000 a year, placed new limits on lobbyists' White House access and had aides circulate a draft executive order that would close the detention center at Guantanamo Bay within a year.'
This (above and below, Guantanamo) should have been done long ago, trials at Guantanamo should have been replaced with a fair Justice system ( a thing the West has long been completely incapable of). The USA, under president Bush, thoroughly demonstrated that it is incapable of dealing with an evil threat ( the terrorist threat) without demonstrating the most dreadful hypocrisy and abuse.
'The Obama administration also circulated a draft executive order that calls for closing the U.S. detention center at Guantanamo Bay within a year. The draft order also would declare a halt to all trials currently under way at the facility, where roughly 245 detainees in the battle against terrorism on terror are held. '
Barack Obama is instantly negotiating with Iran with a publicised view to disarmament. In the past, the USA has advertised conditions before negotiations, stipulating that Iran would have to first drop its uranium enrichment programme.
If Iran were to drop its programme it would be showing serious signs of willingness to cooperate, it was publicly held. Iran, whose oil forms many of the columns propping up US power, called USA bluff all the way.
The second term Bush administration desperately needed short term economic stability and was not going to annoy Iran, that vast oil rig. It did not attack Iraq without Iran's approval you recall.
Barack Obama will want to make a show of economic stability ( or possible economic stability) for a while, it is thought. He has dropped the negotiation conditions previously imposed on Iran. Iran is showing eagerness to cooperate with Barack Obama on these terms. Barack has stated that as long as its administration continues to negotiate with Barack it will not have to drop its nuclear agenda, which must be music to its ears, surely. Israel feels differently about the news, as Iran categorically refuses to recognise the state of Israel and wants it off the map. (This sentiment has been amplified by Israel's recent actions.)
The long term world disarmament program proposed by the President elect is not credible, but those who dance and weep for Obama will be taken in. (We'll wait and see what happens with this President.) This huge disarmement programme may perhaps be a part of a world 'false peace', but it may be a great deception.
If you prefer not to be taken in by Islamist extremists and their proposals, take a look at the behaviour of Islam extremists: on the web, and everywhere else. It is beyond appalling. Men working aggressive Islam are violent and imbecile in their behaviour; their behaviour is indefensable. As well as conducting terror campaigns they are preoccupied with attempting to negate Islamist extremists' responsibility for violence and hostilities by constructing conspiracy theories about Jews and everyone else. Many even attempt to make out that 9/11 and 7/7 were a Western government operation and that Islam extremists and their associates who make their nature known everywhere they go had nothing to do with it. It's deplorable. (How the American government and Security Services Managed to allow 9/11 to 'slip through the net' is another, important question. Likewise the British government in respect of 7/7 .)
The behaviour of Islam extremists-terrorists is the worst on the planet, perhaps the worst their has even been. It is well described as an 'abomination', an 'abomination of desolation'.
The Lord Jesus uses the term 'abomination of desolation' in a specific context. This is a matter for 'watch and pray.' This in no sense detracts from the fact that he surely views ( see the scriptures) the behaviour of the Islamist extremists as an 'abomination of desolation.'
If Barack Obama is to administrate an 'unprecedented period of world peace' this state of peace ( 'false peace', many suggest) will suggestably depend upon his administration and his deals, rather than a fair and balanced status of world disarmament.
Through this means, this temporary peace, the 'son of perdition' will enlist many, deceive many, destroy many. There is indication ( see also the book of Revelation) that people may be destroyed through allegiance to him or by aggressive action he'll take after a peaceful period.
The 'false peace' prophesied in the bible will be achieved through cunning, the scriptures indicate.
An unprecedented 'world peace' is exactly what Barack Obama is proposing.
Peace in the Middle East, peace between Palestine and Israel, which Obama claims he is working toward, would be welcomed the world's governments the world over .

During such a peace period, Barack Obama may assist with rebuilding the third Temple in Jerusalem.

A Jewish 'rabbi' , deluded, who does not believe that Jesus is the Messiah, ( he seems to be into some sort of mystical weirdness promoted in the Talmud) suggests that rebuilding the (third) Temple in Jerusalem is 'the bringer of true world peace', that the rebuilding of the Jerusalem temple is a 'focal point of spiritual energy' of mankind, and that he and the Jewish people are at the centre of the whole world in some mystical way thanks to their superiority as beings. His is a complete misinterpretation of scripture . His self elevation, conceit and phoney spirituality come across.
Sinless Jesus, the Lamb of God, on the cross, paid the price for sin and he is mankind's redeemer. Redemption is a gift from God available to all; each individual has to repent of their sins, confess their sins to God, put their faith in Jesus Christ- and be redeemed. Jesus Christ is the way to eternal life. The sacrifices to God of the Old Testament were holy because the sacrificial lamb prefigured Jesus , the 'lamb of God'. The sacrifices in the temple preceded Jesus; they illustrated the need for redemption, the need for an offering to be made to God for forgiveness of sins.

Jesus came to earth, and his redemptive work is complete. He said to the Sanhedrin: 'destroy this temple and I will rebuild it in three days.' He was talking about going to the cross and his resurrection from the dead.
Making the old animal sacrifices to God in a Jerusalem temple in this era would be effectively a denial of Christ, ungodly, antichrist.

Here, another 'rabbi' commends the numbers 666 and insists that they 'herald the true Messiah'. Excerpt from his writing below:
"Mosad Hayesod" cites the Vilna Gaon's commentary on the Zohar that "the number 666 contains hidden within it exalted and lofty messianic potential." No other explanation is offered there. We do know that the number six represents the physical world. The Torah describes the creation of the universe as a six part, six day, process. Our ancient sources describe the universe as emanating in six directions -- north, south, east, west, up, down -- from a central point. All physical space and all physical objects have these six dimensions.666 is six repeated three times. Repeating a concept three times represents the affirmation and strength of that concept. The number 666 could thus represent the strength and perfection of the physical world, which Judaism teaches will occur in the messianic era, when the physical world will reach its ultimate purpose, to be a vehicle through which the created experience the Creator." The rebuilding of the 'third temple', suggests the 'rabbi' in the video linked above, (speaking about the Temple) will give rise to an 'unprecedented period of world peace'.
Christians believe that a 'false peace' provided by a world false Messiah through his dealings in end times will mislead and deceive many. The 'son of perdition' will at some point '....sit in the temple of God, proclaiming that he is God.'
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, ( the second coming of Jesus) except there come a falling away first, and that a man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. - II Thessalonians 2:3-4
At some point afterward (at some point in the matter) tribulation and terrible trouble will strike according to the words of Jesus.
'Take heed lest any man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying 'I am Christ', and deceive many. And when you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, do not be troubled, for such must needs be, but the end shall not be yet. For nations shall rise against nations, and there shall be earthquakes in diverse places, and famines and troubles; these are the beginnings of sorrows. But take heed to yourselves, for they shall deliver you up to councils, and in the synagogues you shall be beaten, and you shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, as a testimony against them. And the gospel must first be published to all the nations.
The hills and mountains of Judea.Jesus: ....'But when you shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet standing where it ought not, then let them that be in Judea flee to the mountains, and let him that is in the housetop not go down into his house, no enter in, to take anything out of his house; and let him that is in the field not turn back to take up his garment. But woe to them that are with child, and give suck in those days! And pray that your flight be not in the winter. For in those days there will be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, nor ever shall be. And except that the Lord shorten those days, which for the elects (believers') sake he has chosen, no flesh could survive, but for the elects' sake, he has shortened the days. And then if any man should say to you Lo, there is Christ! Or there is he! Believe him not. For false Christs and false prophets shall rise and show signs and wonders to seduce, if possible, even the elect. But take heed, I have told you all these things.'
Given the fact that the behaviour of Islamist terrorists has usually been unchanging whatever the circumstances, there is speculation that Islamist extremists who have connections with arab leaders with whom Barack Obama is negotiating are not going to disarm or abandon their violent plans while they make peace with Israel and the rest of the world for a period; they are merely going to put on a show of peace, with Obama's full knowledge.
Countless people in this world believe that a 'period of peace' is somehow absolute in affirming the good disposition of a world/political ruler, but the bible suggests otherwise.
Barack Obama's propositions of peace and the peace period that may ensue, are an important a matter to look out for as any when comparing the current global situation and the scriptures.
The Lord Jesus' peace is the only true, honest, fulfilling and enduring peace. 'My peace I leave with you, my peace I give you; not as the world gives do I give to you.' Says the Lord. ( See the scriptures.)
The 'false peace' provided by the 'son of perdition' spoken of in the bible will be a testing time, according to the bible; that's not for no reason, it it. The bible speaks of those who ' remain faithful to the Lord Jesus.'
Who is faithful to Christ? Who will the be identified as belonging to Christ when the time comes?
The Lord will separate the people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. Scripture here.
Heaven is already in this process. Yes they are. (According to scripture. If you are a true Christian you are a sheep of Christ's fold, that's the work of God.)
Many people need to repent, and turn to the Lord. The bible's original languages use a words that mean 'turn' and 'return' when translated into English.
There are still may people who haven't come down off the fence in respect of the Obama question, whether he is the 'son of perdition' described in the bible. The 'man of lawlessness', the 'man of sin' who is to precede the second coming of Jesus.
He is obviously an antichrist dictator in these last days.
I think we should 'watch and pray.'
Barack Obama does appears to be the sum of a (world significant) false Messiah at just the time. Today, (Sunday) our pastor at my Church suggested, 'given the current economic climate and the problems , Barack Obama will either face up to the fact that the true solution to any crisis is to obey and follow the word of God, which he is not doing at all, 'or he will be broken.''
He didn't say 'broken without hand.'
Most people have concluded that Barack Obama is very unlikely to start following God and respecting his word.
People have different opinions in my Church on the Obama question. Everyone agrees he's a false Messiah. Most people are interested in the subject.
Christians are to be ' salt and light'; 'a city on a hill cannot be hid'. We follow and respect the Lord's teachings because we're in a relationship with the Lord. We obey his commandments. We continue to pray for the harvest, and for God's promises of blessing on the righteous, those who believe and trust in Jesus, because they are there in his word.
(The OAC blog, just one of many blogs on the matter- very good on the 'Global government' (often called the 'New World Order'), good data, well researched, sense and no conspiracy theories- has come down off the fence and said it thinks that 'no Barack Obama is not' the 'son of perdition' ( 'the man of sin,' the 'man of lawlessness', popularly referred to in these times as 'the Antichrist.') (Their blog has recently been visited by prank comments from a site called 'Blairwatch,' and their associates, who are Internet libellers and stalkers.)
I say in response to a recent posting the OAC blog made: every Christian believes that prophecies in the bible (e.g. those about the 'son of perdition') are about realities. Of course. I am only interested in discussions about the end times and global government etc. from the scripture perspective.
Other blogs have come down off the fence and say the opposite to the OAC blog, i.e they declare that Obama is the global government false Messiah ( they use the popular expression 'Antichrist.')

Barack Obama has now been celebrated in America by an artist's impression of a figure of him riding into the senate on a donkey at the head of a procession. An artist's cryptic comment, or an artist's adulation. Not inspiring either way; I'd prefer not to see such an 'exhibition' at all.

It was predicable enough, given the marketing surrounding Obama's campaign- but no one saw it coming in so fast.
'Watch and pray'; that's what He said to do. Jesus. No premature conclusions, no shutting him out, no falling asleep about current affairs. Just dependancy on the Lord Jesus, the Father, and the Spirit. 'Watch and pray.'
