Jesus rose from the dead on the third day.
If a person repents of their sins and believes in the Lord Jesus, they have eternal life.

'Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God's unique Son.'
Abel offered God the first of his livestock, in recognition of this event to come. A lamb. And God accepted the offering . Abel looked ahead to the coming Messiah, recognized his need to be saved from sin and death and believed God. Cain did not. He thought his simple offering gesture that did not recognize his need for the Messiah ought to be enough for a relationship with God, which it is not. He offered his fruits from the ground, and his offering was rejected by God.
Then, Cain killed Abel. He slew the man who had recognized the need for the coming Christ in the first holy and obedient sacrifice gesture.
Jesus calls Satan, the author of evil, 'a liar and a murderer from the beginning.'
That's the very beginning, the garden of Eden.
God said to Cain: 'Your brother's blood is calling to me from the ground. What have you done?' Cain first denied, then admitted, the murder. God's judgment on him was that he was to be be a vagabond and rejected from all the earth. Cain said his punishment was more than he could bear. He said that anyone who found him would kill him. So God put a mark on Cain, to state that anyone who slew Cain, vengeance would be taken on him sevenfold. This was in order to stop murder and revenge spreading instantly. Murder and revenge spread throughout the world later.
Remember that Christ, the son of God, asks us to forgive 'seventy times seven'. 'Seventy times seven' is God's definition for forgiving someone an' infinite number of times'.
There is only one sin that can't be forgiven through Jesus, according to the bible; it is 'blasphemy against the Holy Spirit'; this apparently goes hand in hand with permanently rejecting God's offer of salvation through Jesus.
If you permanently reject the offer of salvation through Christ , then there is nothing left for you. Usually God gives people a whole life span to make a decision for Christ, and he asks people; 'choose life'.
The bible at times incorporates numbers into what is representative of what is either Holy or 'otherwise'. This is well known. Odd and even numbers are put forward in the bible.
According to scripture, The 'son of perdition' is of Satan. The mark of the beast is Satan's mark. A mark from Satan. It is 666, representative of opposition to the God of the bible's definition of all that is Holy and redemptive. It is against God's plan for man's salvation through the Lamb of God that was slain before the foundations of the world. It is antichrist. Anyone who willfully receives the mark has put himself/herself outside of forgiveness through Jesus Christ and will not be forgiven by God, according to scripture.
The 'woe to you, scribes and pharisees!.... How can any of you escape damnation?' speech that Jesus directed personally at those particular members of the temple, in those days, seems in part to have been because these would crucify him, hand him over to the Romans to be crucified, ( he knew they would) and die in their sin without repenting. He also strongly addressed them on the way they denied Justice to so many.
Their motives were in part political.
Jesus doesn't seem to have been in two minds about his opinion of the 'scribes and pharisees'. (Click here for Jesus' advice to the Sanhedrin). 'Serpents.' 'Brood of vipers.' 'How can any of you escape damnation?'
There was nothing political about Jesus, nor will there ever be. Yet he was subjected to a what was in part, a politically motivated assassination.
Instead of repenting on hearing Jesus' message, the Sanhedrin were proud, filled with sententious anger and rage. Their attack on Jesus was very personal. Presiding Sanhedrin members were embarrassed by Jesus' sermons, his anointing and his message, and they wanted to silence him. (Those in Jerusalem in particular). They wanted to retain power over the Jewish people. And they hoped that handing Jesus over to the Romans would gain them favor with the Roman empire. Before Pilate, the Sanhedrin accused Jesus of sedition against Rome. Before Pilate they accused Jesus of having a political mission, which was an entirely false allegation, as they well knew.
And much of the speech Jesus gave the scribes and the pharisees in the Temple applies to many politicians ( and many judges) of this world, as is plain.
Caiaphas knew the prophesies of Isaiah and others about one Messiah dying for the people's sins ( and crucifixion is very well indicated in the Old Testament bible) and he knew the time was right for the Messiah in his era; he supervised the Council of the Sanhedrin. He knew the Old Testament prophesies by heart. And there are many. And he said: 'Better that one man should die for the people.' His motive for having Jesus crucified was jealousy, hatred, anger, self promotion and politics.
It is important to remember that among a few others it was mainly the members of the Sanhedrin, incorporating the prominent Pharisees and Sadducees, ( probably most of them assisting at the Council when Jesus was tried and condemned ) and the scribes, who were very well informed in respect of the Laws of Moses, the Tabernacle, the Temple and the OT prophecies about the Messiah. They all well knew the prophecies about the coming Messiah in their time, though their understanding ( most of them) had been polluted by their own interpretations of the Hebrew bible, and their various attempts to add to it and distort it. They oppressed Israel a great deal of the time. Many in Israel had believed in Jesus' goodness during his ministry, and a number believed he was the Messiah. During his ministry, most of the people of the rest of Israel, not those in authority, thought him an obvious gift from God. Huge crowds followed him everywhere, resulting in Caiaphas saying to other members of the Jerusalem temple; 'Observe that you are getting nowhere. See, the whole world has gone out after him!'
Here's a picture version of Jesus' analogy, the 'Lost sheep of Israel', those the heavenly Father sent Jesus to care for , according to the scriptures.
These 'Lost sheep of Israel' refers to the people of Israel who believed in him during his mission, those who believed him, and those to come who would believe, from among the Jews and the Gentiles. At the time, many people, due to the false teaching and oppression they'd received from members of the Sanhedrin, Judges of the day-were afraid of a God who might come to terrify or condescend, which Jesus didn't. And doesn't. It becomes very clear from this illustration Jesus gave, 'the lost sheep of Israel', that Jesus does not address the speech condemning the 'scribes and pharisees' at all Israel generally; neither to the first ( The Jews of all Israel) nor the second Israel (the Church). To say that he was shouting at all Israel when he was in the temple there, instead of at those self promoting Justice corrupters is surely one of God's enemy's more tiresome lies. Many people are tired of seeing it put about by anti Semites and sanctimonious characters and all kinds. Hence, the picture that makes the scripture reality apparent. :-)
At the time of his crucifixion, many people were cast out of Jerusalem, suppressed, silenced or whipped into an eager frenzy against him by the Sanhedrin. Politically minded and permanently unrepentant scribes and pharisees ( and there were quite a number) are the people Jesus condemns in his specific address - 'woe to you!.....' in the temple.
The High Priest Caiaphas was perhaps the most guilty of all the Sanhedrin, and of course permanently unrepentant.
In the book of Acts we see the apostle Paul tell presiding Jews, the Sanhedrin, that they crucified the Messiah; he brings them the gospel again, and apparently they publicly and sanctimoniously tear their robes and refuse to repent.
At a later date, more Jewish apostles of Christ come before a presiding Council; the scriptures tell us that many Jews of the era continually persecuted the apostles, thanks to the influence of certain presiding members. On one occasion, when the apostles are arrested, tried and released, one apostle of the bride of Christ ( the church) shouts at the presiding Council 'The Lord will deal with you, you whitewashed wall!'That was directed at those who were presiding on that Council specifically. Not the rest of Israel. On the contrary, it was the rest of Israel that the apostles were seeking to communicate the gospel of Christ to. Notice that this outburst ( above) was not suggestive of Christ's reaction after his trial, prior to his crucifixion, and it could be argued that the apostles were simply sounding off, on this occasion. On the other hand, Jesus clearly said in respect of arrests in respect of the Christian faith generally, 'Do not worry about what you will say, the words you will speak, for it will not be you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.'
There were two members of the temple who believed in Jesus . They detracted. ( Jairus and Nicodemus.)
One rich man asked Pilate for Jesus' body, and made sure that Jesus was given the private tomb in the beautiful garden where his friends could go and wait for the resurrection. Jesus was 'lain in a rich man's tomb' as prophesied. The rich man's name was Joseph of Arimathea. He is variously reported to be a member of the council who believed in Jesus who quietly went behind Caiaphas' back and ensured that Jesus was buried in accordance with scripture prophecy.
'When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Jospeh, who also himself was Jesus' disciple. He went to Pilate and begged the body of Jesus. The Pilate commanded the body to be delivered. And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean cloth, and laid it in his own new tomb which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulcher, and departed.'
This a beautiful mystery in the bible. Joseph of Arimathaea somehow had sufficient sway with Pilate to get him to contravene the wishes of the Sanhedrin. He provided Jesus with the beautiful garden tomb prophesied by the prophet Isaiah. A 'rich man'.
I believe he was a simple and gentle man who believed God would help him in his request to Pilate.
Some presiding Jews who the apostles confronted during their early trials are reported in the scriptures to be distressed by their confrontation, whereas others appear indifferent.The following post, below, was written on around the 25th January 2009. I had never seen the contents of the Talmud ( afew printed in the post here) before then.
Because a number of false teachers have gone out into the world, who do not give witness that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. Such a one is a false teacher and antichrist.

Shmuel Boteach. Often called Shmuely Boteach, or Shmuley Boteach.'For many deceivers have gone out into the world. They refuse to acknowledge Jesus the Messiah as having become human. Any such person is a deceiver and an antichrist'.
Shmuel Boteach, or Shmuley Boteach lies about the New Testament scriptures and other historical record. He is a blasphemer. He is antichrist.
Some agitated people calling themselves 'rabbis', one in particular, Shmuel Boteach, are going about stating that the pharisees who often gathered at the Jerusalem temple in the days of Jesus' ministry on earth can't have assisted on the Sanhedrin Council (click) ( the Council who tried Jesus and handed him over to the Romans to be crucified) because history records that pharisees hated the High Priests etc. Of course they assisted on the Council. As did the Sadducees. There were seventy one members of that Council, comprising so called administrators of Justice throughout the land.
It is true that the Sanhedrin Council was not uniquely made up of 'the scribes and pharisees and Caiaphas', contrary to popular opinion. Many more were involved. Saduccess were strong members of the Council of the Sanhedrin. There were Judges throughout Israel. Jesus stood trial before the Council that officially represented all Israel.
They all did it, the Council of Jesus' time on earth. They got together and planned it, they rigged up a trial, accused Jesus of claiming that he was the Christ, the son of the most high God, ( he is) and handed him over to the Romans to be brutally crucified. Caiaphas, the official 'high priest' of the era presided over Jesus' trial; 'better that one man should die for the people', he'd said.
Then the Sanhedrin handed Jesus to Pilate.
Before Pilate they accused Jesus of 'sedition against the Roman empire.' Before Pilate they accused Jesus of having a political mission, which was an entirely false allegation, as they well knew.
By some interpretations, the Sanhedrin, as many as could attend, tried Jesus in Caiaphas' house covertly. Jesus was taken late at night to 'where Caiaphas was.'
The Sanhedrin did not run the risk of an open Court in daytime.
Caiaphas could have accessed the temple and called everyone in whenever he pleased. The fact that Jesus was produced before the Sanhedrin late at night would have ensured that crowds were avoided at that stage.
The Sanhedrin will have told themselves they were not conspirators as such because they were the Sanhedrin. ( Of course, they conspired. Hypocrites all the way along- of course Jesus, who named them hypocrites, was entirely innocent. )'All the Synoptic Gospels state that Jesus was finally asked directly by the Sanhedrin if he was the Christ, Son of God. Jesus responded, as in Mark 14:60-62: "And Jesus said, "I am; and you shall see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming with the clouds of heaven", (see also the Second Coming).'

The Sanhedrin told Pilate that Jesus had said he was 'King of the Jews'. They hoped that Pilate would interpret the phrase as meaning that Jesus was committing sedition against Rome.
'The very first question Pilate asked when Jesus was brought before him was "Are you the King of the Jews?" (John 18:33). Jesus answered by saying "My kingdom is not of this world" (18:36), and Pilate said "So you are a king?" (18:37). It is not clear what Pilate understood about the Kingship of Jesus.
19:14 He said to the Jews, "Here is your King."
19:15 Pilate asked them, "Shall I crucify your King?"
19:19 Pilate also had an inscription written and put on the cross. It read, "Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews." It was written in Hebrew, Latin, and in Greek (19:20).
19:21-22 Then the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, "Do not write 'The King of the Jews,' but, "This man said, I am the King of the Jews'." Pilate answered, "What I have written I have written."
Pilate seems to have sensed much more than he actually understood.'
One commenter writes: 'The following are some of the Mosaic Laws that were violated by the Sanhedrin in the trial of Christ: bribery (Deuteronomy 16:19; 27:25); conspiracy and the perversion of judgement and justice (Exodus 23:1-2; Exodus 23:6-7; Leviticus 19:15; Le 19:35); bearing false witness, in which matter the judges connived (Ex 20:16); letting a murderer (Barabbas) go, thereby bringing blood-guilt upon themselves and upon the land (Nu 35:31-34; De 19:11-13); mob action, or 'following a crowd to do evil' (Ex 23:2, 3); in crying out for Jesus to be impaled, they were violating the law that prohibited following the statutes of other nations and that also prescribed no torture (Le 18:3-5; ); they accepted as king one not of their own nation, but a pagan (Caesar), and rejected the King whom God had chosen (De 17:14, 15); and finally, they were guilty of murder (Ex 20:13)'.
Of course in turning Jesus over to the Romans to be crucified and insisting he should be, they were doing more than simply breaking laws of Moses. They were crucifying the author of the laws of Moses. ( Jesus, the Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit are one. Three in one.)
My understanding in respect of the ranting mob (those who shouted 'We have no King but Caesar! Crucify him!') is that the Sanhedrin encouraged a ranting mob as much as possible. The crowd will have been eager to express hatred and promote themselves with the Sanhedrin, obviously.
I love that scripture regarding Joseph of Amrimathea. The 'rich man' who had sufficient sway with Pilate to successfully ask him for Jesus body, that he might lay Jesus' body 'in a rich man's tomb', a prominent tomb. The man the bible describes as 'also himself a disciple of Jesus.'
He must have approached Pilate in simplicity, knowing he was in the perfect will of God.
Below: Shmuel Boteach presents himself . You can tell by the way he rants what sort of a man he has become. You will have to turn the volume down; his raving and his lies wound the ears . He rants against Jesus and claims he was not the Messiah.
Boteach is antichrist. He is a ranting blasphemer.
Boteach makes a catalogue of false statements about the New Testament bible and other historical record. He states that Jesus was a ' martyr for a political cause', but this is completely untrue, definitely not suggested in New Testament scripture or anywhere else. Boteach states that Jesus told his disciples to take up swords against the Romans, which is completely untrue; see the records, the New Testament scriptures. Boteach invents and fabricates throughout his speech. ( Did he think people wouldn't note his words ?) Towards the end of his speech he states that Jesus was a political pharisee! Completely untrue. A preposterous claim. Jesus had nothing to do with politics and was not a pharisee, at all. He states 'all Jesus wanted to do was throw off Roman oppression and enforce the laws of Moses'. He suggest 'Jews should take Jesus back from Christians and embrace him for the political radical that he was' ( he wasn't).
The evidence Boteach claims to have dug up on Pilate simply makes the Sanhedrin of Jesus' day look terrible for handing Jesus over to Pilate to be crucified, as far as I can see. ( No one is in any doubt that Pilate was a classic Roman governor. Pilate did send Jesus to the cross, he eventually gave in to the ranting crowd.)

Jesus' mission was not political at all. He had no involvement with politics whatsoever. He is the innocent Messiah, the son of God, the Prince of Peace. His mission, in keeping with Old Testament prophecy, was to set us free from sin and death and satan's destruction. He went to the cross of Calvary and paid the price for our sins . During his ministry he spent time teaching, healing, delivering people, performing miracles that advanced the Kingdom of God. Including raising the dead. Readers are strongly advised to check everything Boteach says against the sacred New Testament scriptures which quickly reveal Boteach's many falsehoods.
Boteach tries to push the idea that rejection of the Sanhedrin of Jesus' time on earth ( and every Christian must reject them) equates to anti semitism, which is nonsense.
Boteach states that there were 'would be Messiahs' around at the time of Jesus' ministry and that these were aggressively dealt with by the Sanhedrin. When Jesus began his ministry people were aware that the time was right for the Messiah; the Sanhedrin certainly were. Around that time, some impostors emerged, who claimed that they were the Messiah. They came to nothing, history has heard almost nothing of them. (There are some records to this effect).
That does not change the fact that Jesus is the true Messiah who came at the right time.
Boteach complains that people are insensitive to how Jews feel today when they hear about how the Sanhedrin handed Messiah Jesus over to be crucified.
I think people are interested in Jesus and they're not put off by hearing about the first century Sanhedrin.
Boteach states that people are insensitive to how Jews must feel when they hear people say that they've rejected their Messiah.
How about the Old Testament Prophecies that state that the Messiah would be rejected by his people? Is Boteach trying to claim that Jewish people haven't seen these scriptures and don't wonder about them?
Here is a link to Psalm 21 of King David, it does seem to be an open quote close quote Messianic prophecy, Here. Notice that the Messiah is to feel and state 'see, they have pierced my hands and my feet.' The whole Psalm is a direct reference to the cross ofJesus Christ.
Here is an Isaiah prophecy about Messiah Jesus, his rejection by his people, the Israelites of Israel, by others also:

All of our sins put Jesus on the cross and each person realizes this when they become a believer in Christ Jesus.
The bible's prophets are very deep prophets.
All the scriptures above evidently have meaning for both the Jews and gentiles, they apply to everyone who comes to love the Lord of course.
There is meaning in those scriptures for the descendants of those who were in Jerusalem who convened to have Jesus crucified or called for his crucifixion.
Or stood by and let it happen. Jesus said: 'He who is not for me is against me.'
You can see that the treatment Jesus received and the fact that he went to the cross is extremely relevant, and that this is well defined by the Old Testament, the 'Hebrew bible'.
Everyone's sins put Jesus on the cross, all believers appreciate this.
It seems to be the fact that Jesus does meet all the Old Testament prophecies that Shmuel Boteach has a problem with. It does, doesn't it.
Boteach states that the Apostle Paul 'spewed venom.' 'Spewed venom at the pharisees'.
There is absolutely no evidence for such a claim of course. The Apostle Paul was an Apostle of Christ, a gentle teacher who wrote sacred scriptures perfectly with the Holy Spirit's guidance.
Boteach is a blasphemer. He is a hater. He frequently comes across as befitting the descriptions of a man demon possessed. He seems proud of the fact.
The way Boteach is behaving is deplorable.
I looked after this person's children on a regular basis many years ago. In 1995. ( They were lovely.) I had no knowledge of the 'Talmud' and its contents then, and only discovered them recently. His family were poor so we were kind to them. Boteach was not a believer in Jesus, ( standard for most Jews) but he was not making statements of the type he is now making. He did not have the evil and aggressive appearance he now does (shown in the videos) though he was arrogant, he could be snide. I never heard him make a hate speech against the Lord Jesus and Christians (or I would not have stayed for a second), and he was not ranting as he now is, on any subject, to the best of my knowledge. (I never heard him on a speaker's platform). He used to monopolize conversation at table ( where there were often Christians and Jews ), he had few manners; he had difficulty allowing others to steer a conversation. He was loud mouthed and crass; a clumsy, insensitive man, who shouted sensitive people down. He was writing various attention seeking books and peddling them all over the place. These were treated as a bit of a joke locally. One of them was titled 'Moses of Oxford.' He was scouting for a platform in those days, constantly promoting himself through any means.
On the day he exhibited himself as a ranting antichrist shown in the video ( and he regularly does these days apparently) he was speaking at a public debate forum with a Jewish Christian , and they are both interviewed here:
Dr. Micheal Brown does well here and speaks correctly. Notice that here, ( video above) Boteach suggests that the Messiah predicted in Old Testament scripture ought to be a political figure and not a spiritual one!
In stating such a thing he disavows the scriptures, the Old Testament ( the 'Hebrew bible') and New Testament.
The Sanhedrin handed Jesus over to Pilate to be crucified under the pretext that Jesus had been an active political figure, which he clearly had not been. He is the son of God. The Sanhedrin asked Pilate to believe that Jesus was engaging in sedition against the Roman empire, which was clearly untrue.
Boteach wants people to believe that 'the Jewish Messiah' who he believes has not yet come, should save the world through political means. Here, a post on 'politics and false Messiahs.'
Jesus is the Israelite ( Jewish) Messiah who also came to the gentiles. Obviously. The Messiah, Jesus, is the saviour of mankind.
Boteach states that Jews have no need for salvation through Christ ( he says that Jesus is the Messiah for Chrsitians and not for Jews and also, that 'man has no need for an intermediary') . Effectively stating that Jews have no need for salvation, that they 'all have a Messiah like nature'. This assertion is Talmud in origin, it is one of many Talmud clauses. ( There are many assertions and 'rabinnical discussions' in the Talmud.) He then goes on to complain that the world is filled with 'mass slaughter'. And he repeats his claim that 'all Jews have a Messiah like nature' and states that the 'Messiah has not yet come'. Dr Michael Brown corrects Boteach's false statements well.

Comment : it is the successful plan of God to save us, what Jesus the son of God achieved through death and the resurrection of Jesus that causes Christians rejoicing. Jesus rendered powerless him who had the power of death over us.
Hebrews 2:14-15 tells us: “Since then the children share in flesh and blood [that is, we have physical bodies], He Himself [Jesus] likewise also partook of the same [a physical body], that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil; and might deliver those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives” .
....The fact that he loved each one of us enough to go to the cross for us. The fact that everyone who believes in Jesus has eternal life. The Lord Jesus' friendship, God's forgiveness, the fact that Jesus cares for us on a daily basis; we bless God for everything he did here on earth, everything he did before, everything he continues to do. As John wrote 'if everything Jesus did were written down, the world could not contain the books!' The Holy Spirit, our relationship with the Heavenly Father through Jesus.... the fact that our names our written in the book of life, inscribed upon Jesus' palms. The fact there's power in the name of Jesus, that we are cleansed by the blood of Jesus. The fact that the Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit are three in one.
And this is the reason for a Christian to rejoice.
As darkness and horror seemed to be closing in on Calvary, Mary heard a voice tell her 'woman, behold your son!'
John, who was beside her there, was the son Jesus spoke of.
Effectively: 'start rejoicing! I am defeating him who had the power of death; the Kingdom of God is here!'
Everyone's sins put Jesus on the cross. Sinless, Jesus took the penalty for the sins of the world. No one who loves the Lord is glad about the pain and suffering he went through. It was terrible.
We love the Lord Jesus who elected to suffer for our sakes.

Jesus' cry 'It is finished!' 'Father, into your hands I commit, or 'commend' my spirit' was no simper in essence, though he was dying. It was a shout of triumph. 'Into Your Hands I commitMy Spirit!' ( The Holy Spirit.) Here, the dictionnary meaning of 'commend.'
It is clear that the Sanhedrin of Jesus' time on earth connived to hand him over to the Romans to be crucified. This should be acknowledged. It is important never to make light of the suffering of the Lord Jesus, what was done to him, what he suffered, what he went through for all our sakes.
Another true Old Testament prophecy about the Lord Jesus, Isaiah 7:14.
'The gospels of Matthew (1:18-25) and Luke (1:26-35) both reveal that Jesus was born of a virgin. Matthew (1:23) appeals to the Hebrew scriptures as an explanation for why this should be the case. The verse appeals to Isaiah 7:14, which reads: "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call his name Immanuel." '
Isaiah 7:14 predicts the birth of Jesus uniquely. It is very obvious and clear.
'Messianic Jews' are Christian Jews who have set themselves apart from the rest of the Church is many ways. They are Jews who have given their lives to Christ. In pointless contravention of scripture, the group ( In the Uk and USA) sets itself apart from the rest of the Church most of the time and clings to various AD Jewish traditions. As a result the group often out on its own which is not advisable for any Christian or group of Christians. The ''Messianic Jewish' groups take a very significant amount of money from the Church and people generally. The 'Messianic Jews' group relies heavily on the scripture that states that Jesus came 'to the Jew first, and then to the gentile.' It seems that they often take that scripture out of its entire context and adapt it to fit an ethos that suggests ' Jews ought to have access to Jesus before anyone else', which is false. They have the same opportunity for a relationship with the risen Jesus as everyone else of course.
The man who was speaking against Boteach, Dr. Michael Brown, who names himself a 'Messianic Jew', was doing a brave job to some extent but ( see his many sermons) he at times makes blunders that he should not . I refer to his sometimes attempts to exonerate the pharisees and other members of the Sanhedrin of the time Jesus was on earth . It can't be done, and should not be attempted. ( Note: There is mention in the bible of members of the temple /those with authority in the land who did not go along with the presiding Jews who were against Jesus. There was Nicodemus, a 'pharisee', who crept out at night to speak with Jesus, and Jairus, 'a ruler of the temple'; Jesus is recorded as having conversations with wealthy Jews who show him respect on rare occasions. There is the story of Joseph of Arimathea, 'himself a disciple of Jesus', who asked Pilate for Jesus' body, who laid Jesus' body in the tomb in the beautiful garden.)
He is afraid to speak against the Sanhedrin (including the pharisees) of the time Jesus was on earth because he worries about modern Jewish Judges and pharisees ( and other Jews) taking offence. He shouldn't be concerned about that at all. His loyalty should be to Jesus at all times.
He knows that false Christians have persecuted many Jews on the assumption that they should be an active extension of the presiding Sanhedrin that handed Jesus over to the Romans. Their behaviour does not reflect Jesus. Jesus message is a message of true peace.
No one appreciates someone saying they are a believer in Jesus who then compromises what the scriptures actually say. Ask any Jew capable of thinking for himself: 'If Jesus is the Messiah, does that make the behaviour of Caiaphas and his team truly abhorrent ' and he will say 'Yes, of course'. ( Most people agree that the behaviour of that Sanhedrin was abhorrent at all times, throughout their era. )
The Lord Jesus, who is perfect, needs no defence; he is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. It is the Holy Spirit that convicts the sinner of sin, and always has been. Christians need to obey the Lord's Spirit, with the help of a forgiving God. It's not complicated.
'Messianic Jews' ( a title that many Christian Jews have given themselves to distinguish themselves from the rest of the Church) should not be out on their own, nor should they dream of ever compromising the true record of Jesus for the sake of appeasing anyone who's indifferent to what was done to the Lord Jesus.
Some 'Messianic Jews' are actively involved in local Churches, some are not.
No Christian believer should place themselves outside the Church, Christians need each other. Fellowship, prayer and safety.
And there is everything to be gained by listening to intelligent Christians inside the Church.

Check your scriptures. Jews who believe in Jesus should always be inside the Church with everyone else, where they are welcome, as there is only one 'Church of believers'.
If a man (or woman) born a Jew respects Jesus as his Lord and Saviour he will not distance himself from the rest of the Christian Church, he will consider Church members his equals in every way.
The men calling themselves 'rabbis' who actively oppose Jesus and falsely declare that he was a pharisee ( Boteach the example shown, the bigot) have spotted that matter. They are well aware that if a Jewish believer is sincere he/she will want to be part of the Church like every other Christian.
It's surprising that socalled 'rabbi' Boteach is capable of seeing anything at all. His abased mind is full of the worst lies, as is plain. He spends his time scouring the New Testament scriptures, his mind filled with jealousy and hate, desperate to find means to fault people who praise the Lord.
He can find nothing against the New Testament and speaks falsehood. He can find nothing against the Lord Jesus, and so resorts to constructing false reports about him. He can find nothing against Jesus' disciples /apostles, and constructs false reports about them as well.
According to report and comment Boteach is a part of a group of self named 'rabbis' who all behave in the same way.

He makes brief reference to the fact that there have been false Christians in history. No one sincere is disputing that there have been false Christians in the world. There have been false Christians who persecuted Jews.
Jesus never instructed anyone to persecute Jews; this is extremely clear in the New Testament. He instructed people ' Love the Lord Your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, with all your strength and with all your mind, and love your neighbour as yourself.'
While Jesus was walking up the hill carrying his cross, he said 'Do not weep for me, women of Jerusalem. For if they do this when the wood is green, what will they do when it is dry?'
Jesus' disciples/Apostles did not recommend persecution of Jews.
Boteach doesn't care. He blames the New Testament for persecution of Jews in the past.
In the video Boteach continues his many false reports and fabrications. He accuses the writers of the sacred scriptures of 'clear cut editing' to make the pharisees and persecuting Jews look bad. He complains about different accounts in a few (very few) places in the New Testament gospels and instead of observing that the writers talk about different aspects to an event, he advocates inappropriate conclusions. Boteach claims that the New Testament makes out that Jesus was an 'ally of Pontious Pilate' and a 'traitor to his people'. He denies that presiding Jewish people handed Jesus over to be crucified. Boteach states that Jesus did not minister to the poor and the suffering of Israel; yes he did. Constantly. These often showed their appreciation for him during his ministry.
Boteach states that Jesus' words to Caiaphas must have been different to that which is written in the New Testament scriptures. Then he goes on to state that he, Boteach hopes to be at the right hand of the Father himself, in place of Jesus. He does!
Jesus fully revealed that the Heavenly Father is Father to the Messiah, who is Jesus, and that the Father Son and Holy Spirit are one God, three in one. This is his gospel.
Boteach states that for him to want to be 'at the right hand of the Father' himself, in place of Jesus, is not blasphemy. It is absolute blasphemy.
Boteach states that Jesus' words 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?' was blasphemy on Jesus' part.
Boteach is a terrible blasphemer.
Jesus cried out 'My God my God why have you forsaken me?' while he paid for the sins of the world. Sinless, Jesus took the penalty for our sins. The lamb of God. The Messiah. Jesus' gesture in going to the cross was the perfect act of love. Greater love has no man.
Boteach suggests that Caiaphas, who planned the crucifixion of Messiah Jesus and refused to repent, who has been 'cast into outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth', should be exonerated.
Boteach denies that the Jews in the crowd in Jersualem who called for the crucifixion of Jesus shouted 'his blood be upon us and upon our children!' He states that it 's 'implausible.'
It was a ranting, raving crowd, and it is not implausible. History has irrefutably shown that ranting crowds are capable of anything.
At the end of his dreadful speech Boteach attempts to make out that he's hard done by. Very revolting indeed. He is a self absorbed, aggressive, gluttonous, overweight American who has never suffered persecution, in fact he's exploited a considerable number of people.
Boteach is not a 'poor thing'. He's a blasphemer, a shouting antichrist. Do not make allowances for his way of going on. Have nothing to do with him. Switch off all media when he appears. He is advocating the way of death, spiritual death, which is being cut off from God for eternity.
The statement on some people's part that Roman Catholic Christians are the only ones going to heaven is false. (As Boteach appears to have perceived, having read the scriptures.)
To think that I once, long ago, sat at this man's table, unaware of the future. ( Since those days, long ago, in 1995, I have not had any contact with the Boteachs.) I was there innocently-Boteach was not coming out with these speeches of his then at all, to the best of my knowledge and belief. He was not a media regular, he was just a young, self titled 'rabbi' who was treated as a rather pitiful loud mouth who was peddling unpopular and seemingly inconsequential books that were often laughed at. (So was his peddling. I never read his books, they looked worthless). The Boteach couple had beautiful children, who were a pleasure look after, imaginative, with a good disposition. Shmuel Boteach's wife came across as a gentle and hospitable person. Once Shmuel Boteach and his wife asked me to help them walk his children part of the way up a local hill to a house they had been lent, which was the sum of two miles away. I walked half way up, and they asked me to go the second mile to help them, which I did. 'If a man asks you to go with him one mile, go with him two.' ( The words of Jesus.) The words of Jesus came to my mind at that time.
I now learn that it was in 1998 that Boteach began making the ranting antichrist speeches that he is now coming out with today. 'Light for the last days' has researched it. Here.
'At a public debate on the issue ‘Was Jesus the Messiah?’ (London L’Chaim Society, 19/1/98), Rabbi Shmuel Boteach stated from the platform that any Christian claiming that Isaiah 7.14 is a prophecy of the virgin birth of Jesus is being intellectually dishonest. This means that Christians would have to reject the New Testament, since Matthew made this claim, quoting Isaiah 7.14 in connection with the birth of Jesus and stating: ‘All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, ‘Behold a virgin shall be with child, and bear a son and they shall call his name Immanuel,’ which is translated ‘God with us.’ (Matthew 1.22-23).'
In early 1998, around two years after he was being laughed at for his silly books and relentless efforts to make his name and promote himself any which way, Boteach received and accepted a further offer from satan; the platform he stands on today.
Look at what Boteach has become . Disavowing all the Christian goodwill he once received he has become a fully fledged hater, an antichrist who proclaims and promotes the way of death. One of the leading antichrist figures in America. He has apparently appeared on the 'Oprah Winfrey show' promoting ideas that people have been describing as 'devil worship'. ( Apparently he got that youtube removed.)

R.e. their statement 'the age of miracles is over', it is not. Jesus works miracles today, most Chrsitians believe; Jesus is Lord.

Boteach is clearly taking advantage of his apparent understanding of the fact that God's forgiveness is available to sinners, and it is not doing him or anyone else any type of service to let him continue in the delusion that a) his behavior is viewed by Christians as in any sense acceptable or b) that he is any sort of good position spiritually; he is not, he is in extremely serious danger.
The Lord Jesus Christ is a true friend. A true friend will not tell you any lies.
The bible's defention of a true righteous person is a one who praises the true God, who believes in Jesus Christ and the full scriptures.
Modern Orthodox Judaism is satanic. The 'Hebrew bible', the Old Testament, is sacred, but modern Orthodox Judaism denies Jesus Christ and advocates that the Messiah has not yet come. That is not the Lord's idea: that is, satan's doctrine. Romans 10:13 promises, " For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord ( Jesus) shall be saved." Jews today must observe the words of the Apostle Paul:... "Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. Why would Jews today still reject their own Savior, whose behavior was evidently perfect and innocent? (Always was, still is.)
The nation of Israel is in God's hands. The Jews, as a nation, rejected their Savior 2000 years ago, and still reject Jesus today. They persist in a religion that denies the Messiahship of Jesus). They persist in those denials whenever tribulation is on the horizon. When terrible coming trouble is imminent, they persist even more. They do not call on the true God when trouble arises. They do not respect the serious scripture warning: 'lift up your hands for the lives of your children' in that they reject the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit, and reject the idea of the Lord's assistance as defence against evil. Then they complain when trouble strikes, -satan being what he is, the trouble is always appalling. People who have persecuted Jews iare of course guilty of the sin of persecuting another person/people.
Any Jew or Gentile who does not call on the name of the true Lord, the Lord Jesus, is not delivered from satanic attack and terrible trouble. The scriptures are clear. If they had not been clear, there would be something for people to complain about, but they are clear. A true friend will not lie to you about this. Jesus didn't.
Some false Christians actually believe that some Jews are not saved by the cross of Christ, but by prior election and their pedigree in Abraham. This is heresy, which is adamantly condemned by Scriptures such as John 3:3... "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Carefully notice that Jesus spoke this to Nicodemus, a Jew, who was a religious leader over the Jews. Every lost sinner must be born-again to enter into a relationship with the Lord.

The construction of a modern Sanhedrin is a hideous show. Political Zionism in American hands today is a bigoted display. Here is an 'anti Messianic Jewish' website. It calls itself a Jewish outreach website but it seems consumed with anti Christian stuff more than anything else- they're reaching out to agnostic Jews and trying o convert them back to Judaism apparently. Look more closely at the practices that are promoted and practiced inside many Synagogues and you can see where some modern expression apparently stems from, the satanic ideology and practice ( in respect of Talmud and its abuse of Christ.). Here, the 'Talmud exposed' again. Many Jews may not be regularly practicing the abuse of Christ in the Talmud but you can see the teaching (just a few excerpts from the Talmud above) what is in the Talmud's instruction. It is sad obviously.
Serious care should be taken by any Christian having anything to do with anyone who is engaging in or demonstrating an alliance with, satanic statements and associated practice.

The satanic Talmud ideology defended by so some Jewish people in modern times may explain the corrupt and violent nature of the state of Israel in regards to its human rights abuses, and its support by some Jews in places. It perhaps explains the failure of some USA Jews to renounce the behavior of the Israeli state while it is practicing extreme and extensive war crimes.
My understanding of Jesus' saying in the book of Revelation as per the 'synagogue of satan' is that is he saying that people of a certain Synagogue described in the bible make out they are righteous and praiseworthy but their behavior is blasphemy and dreadful.
Re post below: In Jewish tradition, the head 'rabbi' of the area would sit at the head of the table, and those who were considered of 'lesser esteem' would go lower, round the table. The poor and the needy would tend to be sent to the end of the table, or expelled from the seats altogether. This was happening during Jesus' time on earth.
A thing Boteach used to do at his table, ( which he would go to immense lengths to put in place, the tradition still continues) was sit himself at the head, and send the 'riff raf' to end of the table, where most of affirmed that Jesus is the Messiah (the habit of a lifetime as he suspected.) His interpretation of 'riff raff' was, anyone who had been hurt in the past, Jewish people who had been rejected by other Jews and/or who had had their lives made miserable, and various Christians present. Also, the Jewish kids go to the end of the table most of the time (by tradition). There is a parable and a story of Jesus, the true teacher:
8″When you are invited by someone to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for someone more distinguished than you may have been invited by him,
9 and he who invited you both will come and say to you, ‘Give your place to this man,’ and then in disgrace you proceed to occupy the last place.
10″But when you are invited, go and recline at the last place, so that when the one who has invited you comes, he may say to you, ‘Friend, move up higher’; then you will have honor in the sight of all who are at the table with you.
11″For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
