America decides

Well, here we go......

Here's the election latest.
More here.

The Obama question is just as eventful outside of his campaign territory, with many previously quiet Americans purchasing car bumper stickers and T-Shirts designed to warn others that Barack Obama is the 'Antichrist'/false Messiah for certain. ( Merely to demonstrate the weekend pre-election happenings in some of the 'United States'.)

Jewish Israel is divided over Obama to a certain extent; many have had enough of his farce, including those with regular contact with the state of Israel; here, a number of writers name one of his supporters a potty mouthed comic dunce. (Again, link is merely to demonstrate events).

Barack Obama's apparent life in pictures here. There is dispute about whether all the pictures are of him

He's created a last minute hit you over the head style campaign video, needless to say; apparently blanketing the air waves wasn't enough. Here. He's banging on about 'the fierce urgency of 'now'' again. One day to change the world, well ...! Whyever did the Creator bother taking seven days over it in the first place. I know, let's just do away with the question. ;-)

The McCain team is apparently feeling like it's losing, ( at the time of this paragraph) and claiming that there's voter fraud going on. Some interesting views on States to watch and perspectives. Let's have a look: interesting results predictions for the Republicans and a media panic: 'what if McCain gets in?'

Sarah Palin: equal opportunities for women, yes. But the the evangelical church in the states being progressively transformed into a crude right wing American political circus.....that, that was awful.
Sarah alone is not to blame for the way a lot of the Churches have embraced right wing politics that had no place in the Church. She took all the flack, and was horribly persecuted. However, Christians with serious faith should stay out of politics according to the gospels.
The Bush administration are unelectable.
Here's a reminder of Jesus' views on politicians / self serving judges generally, with a particular address to the Sanhedrin 'scribes and pharisees' of the days he was here on earth. ( I do not particularly go for this film rendition of the scene, but it's the only one available.) Here, he smashes the money lenders tables to pieces, in the temple, due to the money merchant politician pharisees inside the temple. At the time he did this, many of his followers throughout Israel ( including Judas) hoped he would be useful as a counter political force against the Sanhedrin, but he emphatically refused. It is again very clear that Jesus is directing his anger at politics and politicians, those practising politics against him in the temple, rather than 'Jewish leaders generally' ( as is often assumed).

Obama seems to be fighting in a way we've never seen a politician fight before.

.... My inkling was that it would/will be something of a landslide election victory for Obama. But let's wait and see.

Premier Christian radio is full of requests for readings on the Psalms and readings of the teachings on the 'Last Supper' of Jesus. Many requests for comfort in difficulty in these times. We are not living in easy times, and the bible says we are not going to be, if we take it that these are the last days. Far from it. According to Jesus, there will be persecution (of Christians) such as the world has never known before in the 'last days.'

Excellent reading on Jesus' words of promise and comfort at the last supper, and how they apply up to the end.

It seems as if people are a little disillusioned with the state of 'no official comment' on the current affair this week from some of these broadcasting stations, and are turning elsewhere for discussions! :-)

God bless and keep you.

Jude spoke of Jesus' coming back to earth in the 24th verse where he said, "Now to him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with joy."
